Frequently Asked Questions

Is Dominican University of California a real U.S. university?

Yes. Dominican is a 130-year-old institution accredited by WASC — one of the six U.S. regional accreditors recognised by the U.S. Department of Education. The Barowsky School of Business is AACSB-accredited.

Will my degree be recognised in my country?

Dominican is recognised across the Middle East and Africa. It is officially listed on the Saudi Ministry of Education's Safeer service. WES, ECE, NSC and Apostille verification services are available for any other country your career may take you to.

Do I need to take an entrance exam?

No standardised entrance exam (no GMAT, GRE, IELTS or TOEFL required). Admissions assess your background, motivation and English proficiency, with a focused video interview to confirm fit.

Can I study while working full-time?

Yes. The programme is designed for working professionals — live sessions are scheduled with regional time zones in mind, and every session is recorded for asynchronous viewing.

Will I need to travel to California?

No. The MBA is fully completable online. Travel to the San Rafael campus (for on-campus graduation) and the Silicon Valley Immersion are optional, and exclusive to Global Strategy track students.

Will employers accept this degree for promotion or reimbursement?

Most countries’ employers and government tuition-reimbursement schemes accept WASC-accredited U.S. universities. Saudi sponsors specifically recognize Dominican through the Safeer listing. AreteUp can provide HR-ready verification letters upon request.
